An initiation visit is usually conducted after a qualified Principal Investigator (PI) has been selected which should be made after the receipt of test article, but prior to the enrollment of the first subject.
This visit may be exempt if the site has worked with the sponsor within the past 12 months in a similar therapeutic research trial or if the PI and Coordinators attended the protocol specific investigators meeting.
